English King sterling silver tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Plain oval well. Applied rim comprising alternating scallop shells and scrolls. An adaptation to hollowware of the traditional flatware pattern that Tiffany revived in the 1880s. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 5748, and director’s letter C (1902-7). Excellent condition.
