Antique Sterling Silver Tea Strainers

Antique sterling silver tea strainers have been around for centuries. Most silversmiths made sterling silver tea strainers for the luxury market since tea was a vital social event for the elite during the 18th and 19th centuries. People were tired of fishing out loose-leaf tea from their cups—so in entered the sterling silver tea infuser. Each tea strainer is a unique and beautiful work of art meant to be collected and admired. Nelson & Nelson is an antique store in New York City that has a wonderful selection of unique antique sterling silver tea strainers. Browse our selection online or in-store to add history to your tea and antique collection.
