Corners have engraved scrolls and flowers. Mottled green agate finial. Fully marked including stamp for Sweetser Co., a New York maker active ca 1900-15. Numbered 3017. Very good condition.

On cover a knight with lance and shield on charger in linenfold caparison set in multifoil frame with armorial shields and angels bordered by Gothic script. Sides have Vitruvian scroll, leaf-and-dart, and dentil. Gilt interior. Hallmarked. Very good condition.

Set on 4 figural rose feet. Very heavy at 19 troy ounces. 6 ½ inches by 4 ½ inches by 6 inches high. Full marked on bottom and inside edge of the cover. Excellent condition.
