Russian 875 silver novelty cigar box, ca 1910. Rectangular; cover flat and hinged with scrolled tab. Trompe l’oeil wood panels with realistic grain and tax stamps. Box interior gilt-washed. On cover interior is engraved Russian script presentation dated 1912.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass vase with engraved silver overlay. Made by Alvin in Providence. Flared mouth, cylindrical neck, gently globular bowl, and inset foot. Fluid and open leafy scroll overlay, and asymmetrical cartouche engraved with interlaced script monogram. Glass is dark green. Pontil mark. Fully marked and numbered A117/12. Very good condition.
