Aesthetic Classical sterling silver salver. Made by John C. Moore for Tiffany & Co. at 550 Broadway, New York, ca 1865. Round with gadrooned rim and 3 volute-scroll and leaf supports. Traditional Georgian-era style modernized with stylized egg-and-dart ornament engraved in well. Hallmark (1854-70) includes maker’s and retailer’s stamps, pre-1860 pattern no. 572, and phrase “English Sterling”. Very good condition.
