Collar has band of volute scrolls with flowers and leaves. Fully marked including stamp for Adelphi, a New York maker active ca 1890-1915. Very good condition.

Greek Revival sterling silver soup tureen. Made by John C. Moore for Tiffany & Co. at 550 Broadway, New York. Ovoid bowl has leafy-ring end handles with graduated beading fix-mounted to cast ram’s heads. Cover stepped and domed with same. Egg-and-dart knop on stepped foot. Beading and Greek Key. Beautiful midcentury Classicism.

Early mark (1854-70) includes maker’s and retailer’s stamps, and pre-1860 pattern no. 472. Fine condition.
