Ovoid bowl has leafy-ring end handles with graduated beading fix-mounted to cast ram’s heads. Cover stepped and domed with same. Egg-and-dart knop on stepped foot. Beading and Greek Key. Beautiful midcentury Classicism.
Early mark (1854-70) includes maker’s and retailer’s stamps, and pre-1860 pattern no. 472. Fine condition.
