Art Nouveau Martelé silver centerpiece. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1920. Bellied on raised and scrolled and curling foot. Rim wide and turned down with chased vegetation with serrated leaves, and chased and applied flowers (lily of the valley) that spillover the scrolled rim. More lily of the valley (chased) on bowl exterior. Foot has chased meandering tendrils. Three gilt and cast figures of winged pixie fairies grip sides with elongated and tapering bodies that terminate in leaf mounts.... Click for details

Each: Tapering pillar shaft on raised square base; urn socket with 3 detachable arms, scrolled and reeded, each terminating in single urn socket and surrounding raised central socket with pavilion cover. Ornament includes garlands, wreaths, acanthus leaves, and ram’s heads. Fully marked. Very good condition.
