Chinese export silver cocktail shaker, ca 1900. Tapering cup. Cover has curved shoulders and cylindrical neck with cap and built-in strainer. Repousse chrysanthemums on stippled ground. Cover sides have engraved bands and dense slash lines. Armorial frame vacant as is cap top. Hallmarked with Chinese characters and letters HC for Hung Chong, who was active in Shanghai and Canton. Very good condition.
