Five German 812 silver figures, ca 1880. This set comprises two musicians, a tankard-bearing tavern keeper, a fowl-serving wench, and a dagger-wielding pierrot let loose among these peaceful country folk. Each figure is silver and inset with nautilus-shell torso; mounted to jewel-studded base.

Marked 13 (that is 13/16 loths) and Nurnberg city stamp. Very good condition.

A sweet piece with patriotic and military undertones. Gilt interior. Fully marked including no. 999 and stamp for Morss, an Attleboro maker noted for its baby wares in 1930s and 40s. Fine condition with strong definition.
