European silver and enamel cigarette case, ca 1920. Rectangular, chamfered, and hinged. On cover, a horse’s head appears in an entryway, with two protective borzoi dogs standing guard. Stable drama against a semi-abstract background of brick and stone. Marks worn. Very good condition with strong color.

Edwardian Art Nouveau sterling silver Box. Made by Reed & Barton in Taunton, Mass., ca 1910. Rectangular with straight sides. Cover hinged and flat with molded rim and scrolled tab. Acid-etched and engraved ornament: dense and dynamic scrollwork overlapping rectilinear frames. Cover top has shaped central cartouche (vacant). Fresh and gorgeous. Box interior wood lined. Cover interior gilt. Fully marked and numbered 110. Fine condition with strong definition.

Chinese silver gilt, enamel, and marble pagoda box, ca 1920. Marble base with guilloche enamel pilasters and applied imbricated gilt filigree leaves, and raised foot with inset cabochon stones on enameled ground. Top has patterned enamel ground and gilt eaves with cabochon amethyst rim, and pendant turquoise. Cover has same with gilt finial on lobed ring surmounting green enamel circles. Midcentury Modern sterling silver double picture frame. Retailed by Cartier in New York. Hinged diptych. Each window rectangular in flat surround. With glass, silk lining, and wood laminate back. Fully marked including maker’s (Hickok Matthews) and retailer’s stamps, phrase “Hand Made”, and no. 425/2. Hickock Matthews is better known by the original name Lebkuecher. Very good condition.

Tall turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass decanter with engraved silver overlay. Globular bowl with cylindrical neck and everted rim. Stopper concave with faceted neck. Dense overlay. On bowl are flower heads, entwined scrolls, and trellis between double linear frames joined by beading and terminating in volute scrolls. On neck are shooting tendrils forming arches. Neck and rim in collar as is decanter neck. Glass is clear. Marked and numbered 044. Very good condition.
