Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass decanter with engraved silver overlay. Curved ovalish body with high looping reeded handle and cylindrical neck. Ball stopper. Overlay in form of loose and exuberant scrolls and flowers. On front asymmetrical cartouche with interlaced scrips monogram. Glass is olive green. Silver marked Gorham and numbered S1490. Very good condition. Stopper plug has a few minor losses.

Magnificent American Classical coin silver tureen. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1860. Curved ovoid bowl on stepped oval foot mounted to four beaded and round supports. Cover domed. Bowl rim has bold beading bordered by applied guilloche. On each end is cast satyr’s head with flamboyantly ribbed horns and slack jaw holding loose-mounted ring. Flat girdle with applied chevron and stud. Rim collar same with triangular spout. Cover hinged with canted sides and ball finial. Mortis and tenon-style bracket handle. Very good design. Sweet and pretty Russian 875 silver box. Ovoid. Cover hinged and flush with molded rim and leaf-mounted branch ring handle. End bracket handles have tooled scrollwork. Four large and naïve rose and leaf mounts terminating in branch supports. Alloy is 84/96 (that is 875). Marks include Kokoshnik that was in use from 1908 to 1917. Very good condition with deep patina.
