Edwardian Sterling silver baby cup. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1910 Gently upwards tapering sides, scrolled bracket handle, and flat rim. Gilt-washed interior. Two acid-etched frames with little girls from around the world (each in national costume) giving thanks at table. A third frame, bordered by potted rose bushes, is vacant. Below is phrase: “It is very nice to think the world is full of meat and drink / with little children saying grace in every Christian kind of place”.

$556.50Pretty repousse sterling silver powder box. Retailed by JE Caldwell in Philadelphia. Drum form with straight sides and curved overhanging cover. Sides and cover top decorated with flowers in stippled ground. Comes with fluffy puff to keep your complexion a ladylike alabaster. Fully marked including no. 176, and maker’s and retailer’s stamps. The maker was Fuchs & Biederhase who were active in New York, ca 1891-6. Very good condition.

Each piece has a deep well and wide shoulder with Classical vases overlapping rondels joined by leaf swags on pierced fern ground. Ogee scroll rim. A beautiful centerpiece in the historic pattern. Small ornamental monogram engraved on bowl underside. Both parts fully marked including no. 3536 (stand). Very good condition.

Chased flowers and oval rondels inset with heads of olden-days belles in scrolled frames with fleurs de lys. Two poles for conveying bouquet to boudoir etagere. Butler finish and gilt-washed interior. Single-letter monogram engraved on underside. Fully marked including Durgin and Gorham stamps, Gorham date symbol, and no. 40104. Very good...
