Art Nouveau sterling silver traveling inkwell. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round bowl with applied scrolling leaf and berry border, and curved shoulder. Cover flat, hinged, and overhanging. Bowl interior glass lined with poignant evidence of previous use. Not just a pretty ornament. Fully marked including pattern no. 11596 (first produced in 1893) and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition.

Eyes red glass beads and mouth gently agape. A major milk dispenser that is also a sweet breakfast companion. Dutch marks including export stamps, and English import marks. Fine condition.
