Acid-etched scenes from Goldilocks and the Three Bears: On front Mama Bear and Papa Bear inspect the porridge bowls while Baby Bear wipes away a tear. On back, they wave sticks at the fleeing Goldilocks. On one end is Goldilocks alone. On the other end are 3 stacked bear heads staring straight ahead with voyeuristic intensity. English Edwardian safari flask, ca 1910. Clear glass body. Top part encased in leather with cutout tubular windows. Bottom half has detachable silver-plated cup with gilt-washed interior. Also silver-plated are the neck collar and hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover for one-handed opening. Perfect for those occasions when you can’t be bothered to put down the gun. Cup marked Daniel & Arter, a Birmingham maker active from the 1890s to early 1920s. Very good condition.
