Japonesque mixed metal and sterling silver bowl. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round with curved sides. Applied to exterior are sinuous and curlicue leafy tendrils with butterflies, dragonfly, and grasshopper. Some spillover on interior as well as cutting and butterfly. Beautiful fluidity. Pair of hand-hammered sterling silver and mixed metal open salts. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Each: Bellied bowl on domed foot. On exterior are fish, shells, and crustaceans (lobster and crab) applied to honeycomb ground heightened with engraved sea grasses. Bowl and foot interior gilt-washed. Hallmark includes pre-1875 pattern no. 3667, director’s letter M (1873-91), and phrase “Sterling silver / and / other metals”. Very good condition with deep patina.

Wonderful Russian 875 silver and niello tea caddy, 1877. Four straight sides with gently raised top, short neck, and threaded cover. Engraved ornament. Sides have interlaced Moresque frames inset with bouquets on two sides. On third side in Cyrillic letters is the phrase “Chinese Tea”.
