Set of 12 Art Deco sterling silver cocktail cups. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Each: Truncated cone with flat bottom, tapering stem, and flat circular foot. Incised bands on bowl rim and foot rim. Spare and functional. Hallmarks include pattern no. 21378 (first produced in 1929). Ten cups have director’s letter M (1947-56) and 2 have director’s letter m (1907-47) of which 1 with wartime star (1943-45). Very good condition.

Antique coin silver tongs. U-form terminating in oval bowl and 4-tine shank. Applied ornament in form of fluid and rippling leaves and flowers. Stamped “W.G&S” for New York maker William Gale & Son, who operated under this name in the 1850s. Very good condition and patina.

Stylized ornament comprising flower on stippled multifoil heightened with pointille. Engraved 3-letter monogram. An exciting serving piece from the 1870s-80s in a pattern sometimes called Lotus. Art Nouveau water pitcher in red glass with silver overlay. Made by Alvin in Providence, ca 1900. Undulating baluster with c-scroll handle in collar. Glass has floral silver overlay, including daisies and roses. A connected and chaotic pattern heightened with engraving. Asymmetrical cartouche engraved with interlaced script monogram. Fully marked and numbered 335R. Very good condition.

Bowl sides have acid-etched frieze with alternating oak leaves and acorn-clutching squirrels. Sweet with an implicit moral message about thrift and planning. Hallmark includes pattern no. 18080D (first produced in 1911) and director’s letter m (1907-47). Very good condition.

Midcentury Modern sterling silver coffee set. Made by Spratling in Taxco, Mexico. This set comprises coffeepot, creamer, and sugar.

Coffeepot: Gently upward tapering sides, straight diagonal spout, and hinged and domed cover with cabochon stained-wood finial. Side handle also stained wood. Creamer and sugar: Tapering base and inset top with stained-wood “boomerang” handles.
