Pair of George III sterling silver goblets. Made in Edinburgh in 1809. Each: Bowl has plain top with engraved armorial and gadrooned bottom. Armorial includes Latin motto Esse quam videri (To be, rather than to seem). Bowl interior gilt. Substantial vessels for special occasions and ceremonies. Hallmarked with maker's initials WM (possibly William Marshall). Good condition.

Set of 8 Chinese export silver cordials, ca 1910. Each: Tapering bowl on knopped stem on raised foot mounted to round base. Scary, scaly dragon applied to bowl as well as an unidentified tentacular mass, suggestive of a firewater-induced hallucination. Two cordials unmarked. The remaining 6 are hallmarked with P set in star and number 900 (4 also marked with Chinese characters). Very good condition.

A set of ten Etched Crystal Glasses that fit into ornate sterling silver holders. The glasses are engraved with a scene that includes a windmill, a ship and two bunches of grapes and leaves. The sterling silver holders are decorated with a cut out silver desing featuring a domestic garden scene with a mother and baby filling a water urn. Made in Germany hallmarked Sterling circa 1920. Excellent condition, nice patina, height 5 7/8". BD488
