Stylish sterling silver baby cup. Made by Grosjean & Woodward for Tiffany & Co. at 550 Broadway, New York. Straight and upward tapering sides with fluidly scrolled bracket handle. Allover wave engine-turning between plain borders. Oval strapwork cartouche (vacant). Rims have cabling, beading, and imbricated leaves. Early mark (1854-65) with maker’s and retailer’s stamps, phrase “English Sterling”, and no. 6. Fine condition.

Leaf-and-dart rims. Leaf-capped s-scroll handle. A pretty, girly design by by Tifft & Whiting who were active in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, ca 1840-53. Fully marked with maker’s stamp and phrase “Pure Silver Coin”. Very good condition.

Two rondels interspersed with fleurs de lys and inset with male and female Renaissance profiles. Large round cartouche with strapwork border (vacant). A beautiful example of the Medallion motif that Westervelt also used on his flatware. Marked “J. L. W.” Very good condition with strong definition.

Upward tapering sides and scroll handle. Acid-etched frieze depicting sailor-suited, flag-holding, all-American boy with exotic coevals in native dress relegated to background. Symbolic imagery enhanced with verse: “Little Indian, Sioux or Crow, little frosty Eskimo, little Turk or Japanese—Oh! Don’t you wish that you were me?”
