Duke of Windsor Association: A sterling silver trophy cup that he won for the light-weight Hog Hunters race at the Kadir Meeting, which took place at the end of his Indian tour in 1922. At the time Edward was Prince of Wales, a young man of dash and glamor, and the contest was an annual event for the pukka-sahib sport of pig-sticking. The presentation reads in full: Kadir Meeting / March 15th 1922 / Hog Hunters Cup / Major Colin West’s “Bombay Duck” / (H.R.H. Prince of Wales).

Each: Baluster shaft on knopped and domed foot. Urn socket on knop and turned-down detachable bobeche. Foot and bobeche scrolled and reticulated with applied garland.
