Acid-etched flowers: Dense and overlapping blooms on side and bottom. With beveled glass, silk lining, leather back, and silver interlaced wire hinged support. Retailer’s and maker’s stamp for Désiré Jouannet, a Belle Epoque supplier to Tiffany in Paris. Excellent condition.

George III sterling silver basket. Made by Thomas Robins in London in 1808. Tapering rectilinear bowl with swing u-form handle and raised foot. Gadrooned rim with shells and leaves. Handle sides leaf-capped. Armorial with lion rampant and turreted fortress engraved in well. On foot underside are engraved 2 interlaced monograms and the phrase “L’amitie and L’estime”. Hallmarked. Very good condition and patina.
