Japonesque sterling silver fish server in Hizen pattern. Made by Gorham in Providence. Rectilinear handle with flying crane, carp in wave, and flowers set in shaped frames and on wavy and patchwork grounds. Blade had scalloped top and engraved blossoming branch. A beautiful piece in this pattern, which was first produced in 1880. Late 19th-century hallmark. Excellent condition.

Art Deco 950 silver and enamel cigarette case. Retailed by Cartier in France. Rectangular and hinged. On cover are enameled nautical and national symbols including a sailboat, lifesaver American and Norwegian flags, and pennant. This case presented to Herman Whiton, an American yachtsman on the occasion of his victory in the Scandinavian Gold Cup in 1926, which was the first year the race was open to non-Nordic competitors. Set of 6 Regency Neoclassical sterling silver goblets. Each: Ovoid bowl on cylindrical stem flowing into domed foot. Engraved ornament: wavy and zigzag rim bands and 2 bow-tied oval pendant frames (1 frame vacant; the other has armorial). Gilt-washed interior. Elegant and austere. London hallmarks. Three goblets were made by Ebenezer Coker in 1808. The other three were made in 1827, apparently by Wakelin & Taylor (mark indistinct). Very good condition.

Chinese export silver tea caddy, ca 1900. Baluster with drum-form neck and cover. Chased and repousse bamboo and blossoming prunus branches on stippled ground. Plain band at shoulder. Also plain are foot rim, neck, and cover sides. Cover top has circular frame (vacant). Fully marked with Chinese characters and letters HC for Hung Chong, who was active in Canton and Shanghai. Very good condition.
