George VI sterling silver casket box. Made by Richard Comyns in London in 1946. Rectangular with straight sides and corner bracket supports. Paneled and engine-turned sides. Cover hinged and raised with engine-turned top. Box interior cedar-lined and partitioned. Cover interior gilt. Underside leather-lined. Striking and capacious. Hallmarked. Very good condition.
