George III sterling silver salver. Made by Thomas Daniel in London in 1791. Oval with reeded rim. Large armorial engraved in center. Ornamental border with paterae inset in rinceaux. A beautiful piece with fine period engraving – that is, the crest belongs to the first owner. Rests on 4 tapering supports terminating in volute scrolls. Hallmarked. Excellent condition.

Finest quality sterling silver bowl. Made by Baltimore Sterling Silver Co. (later Stieff), ca 1895. Bowl has curved sides, short stem, and raised foot. Lovely floral repousse with scattered blossoms on stippled ground. Bowl and foot rims have applied leaves and scrolls. Well has contrasting plain 7-point star that is visible also on bowl underside.
