Honeycomb hand hammering with applied butterflies, dragonfly, birds, lizard, bamboo, and blossoming prunus branch – a veritable panoply of period motifs. Hallmark includes year and no. 24. Fine condition and patina. Snug cover for keeping the precious leaves fresh.

On the front, hunters ride through the countryside. On the back, a top-hatted rider controls his horse, which has stopped abruptly before a fence. Script presentation dated 1885 engraved on cover.
