Scroll handle with squiggle tail. Bowl has shaped pointille ornament and wire scrollwork applied with fluttering and flapping birds. Beading. Oval frame engraved with interlaced monogram. Hinged and double-domed cover with open scrollwork thumb rest mounted to s-scroll handle. Pendant frame inset with monogram and second monogram at bottom; period engraving very likely for the original owner. In full working order—ready for a couple more centuries of companionable toping.
