Wonderful sterling silver vase. Retailed by Cartier in New York. Curved and ovoid body with wavy-shaped narrow mouth. Double-sided aquatic scene with fish gliding and diving amidst sea plants and conch shells. In relief with finely delineated details that include fins and scales as well as textured (that is, hand-hammered) sandy terrain. The swaying sea grasses attenuate into engraving. Italian hallmark (1968 to present) for Fratelli Cacchione in Milan. Fine condition.
