Each: Plain well surrounded by Neoclassical ornament including paterae, covered vases, and flutes as well as swooping foliage. Rim has alternating flutes and paterae. Traditional ornament integrated into a dynamic design. Hallmark includes no. 1498/6. Two plates have maker’s mark. All plates have retailer’s name. Very good condition.

Very desirable sterling silver punchbowl and ladle in Chrysanthemum pattern. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. The bowl has curved sides and turned-down scalloped rim. Raised base terminating in 4 volute scrolls. Chrysanthemums applied to rim, bowl exterior and base – dense and textural flowers that spill over the edge. Bowl interior has twisted flutes suggestive of stems and engraved garland. Holds 32 pints. Ladle in same pattern with richly gilt double-spout bowl.

Large oval basket on gadrooned shaft with pierced oval border and ribbon-tied laurel swags on 4 leaf-capped and scrolled supports. Eight branches, terminating in alternating oval and round baskets. All baskets have solid well, oval piercing, beading, and applied laurel swag with rosettes. A coherent and symmetrical design with French liveliness and ornament. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A basket overflows with fish, octopi, lobsters, sea urchins, scallops, clams, and mussels – a feast of fruits de mer (sea fruits).
