Very nicely worked sugar box made in Europe in the late 19th century. The whole body with alternating fluted panels, plain and then decorated with roses. Figural rose finial. Cover on a hinge. Set on 4 figural rose feet. Very heavy at 19 troy ounces. 6 ½ inches by 4 ½ inches by 6 inches high. Full marked on bottom and inside edge of the cover. Excellent condition.

This is the best piece of Chinese silver we have ever come across. A very large figural group of a gate set on a very nice rosewood base. The gate comprises 4 circular columns with piercing, decorated flowers and 2 dragons. The dragons are wrapped around the 2 inner columns with the figural head of the dragons coming out facing in at the top of the 2 inner columns. A set of four antique English gilded sterling silver open salt cellars on feet. This set is decorates with a floral repose border and the feet are formed from figural mythological nudes with wings. Each cellar is finished with a finely beaded trim, made in London, England. Dated 1873, fully hallmarked, lovely finish, excellent condition.
