Pair of silver plate wine bottle coasters. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1890. Each: Lobed sides with flat rim comprising alternating large and small scallops. Rim gadrooned and decorated with shells and leaves. Bottom has twisted fluting. Exterior has applied floral garland and script monogram. Gadrooned foot. Elegant pieces in the English tradition. Hallmark includes no. 6212 and phrase “Silver-Soldered E.P.” Very good condition and patina.

Japonesque iron teapot with sterling silver mounts. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1883. A rare experimental piece. Japanese form with cover and twisted swing handle. Iron surface is granulated with nuanced patina. Mounts are bird, blossoming prunus branch, and insect. Interior appears to be tinned. Hallmark includes date letter, no. W19, and words “sterling” and iron”. Good condition. Interior has minor rusting.
