Antique German sterling silver medieval knight, ca 1910. Head-to-toe armor from helmet to sabatons. The helmet has an eagle finial and hinged visor that protects a stern visage. The suit also includes cuirass, chain mail, and cuisses. In one hand he grips a shaft with chained mace. In other he props up a shield. Spurs rotate and sword comes out of hilt. An impressive figure of a manly fighting machine. Rectangular pedestal with cabochon-cut stones and leaf-and-dart ornament.
