Large Art Deco sterling silver box. Made by Walker & Hall in Sheffield, ca 1930. Rectangular with curved, hinged, and tabbed cover. Dense engine-turned ornament in plain frames. Cover top has central and chamfered rectangular frame (vacant); cover top frame has engraved wave pattern on lined ground. Box interior cedar lined. Cover interior gilt washed. Underside leather lined. Handsome and capacious. Fully marked including indistinct date letter. Very good condition.
