Pair of European shagreen and silver candlesticks, ca 1880. Each: Column on raised square base covered with green-tinted shagreen. Silver Corinthian capital with detachable and wavy clear glass bobeche and beaded and square silver socket. Column encircled with scaly snake. On base silver mounts including paterae and scrolls as well as dolphins at corners. Unmarked.

Sterling silver baby cup with patriotic parade. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Dense and raised frieze with drum-beating, bugle-blowing, and flag-waving children. Some march and others ride in a garland-bedecked, pony-harnessed cart. Top and bottom bands vacant. Skirted foot and scroll handle with graduated lobing. Hallmark includes pattern no. 5470 and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition.

Novelty sterling silver postage stamp envelope. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1890. Envelope engraved with script direction and franked with an enameled George Washington 2-cent that is canceled "New York / Dec 25 / 10 AM / 90". A second cancellation on back. Script presentation engraved on flap interior “Papa from Gladys”. The envelope contains a leather-bound booklet with thin translucent leaves for holding stamps.

Glass clear and overlaid with fruiting grapevines - scrolled stems and succulent bunches heightened with engraving. Rim and lip spout in silver collar as is handle. Mixed metal and silver vase. Made by La Pierre (part of International) in Newark, ca 1890. Baluster with turned-down and ruffled rim and stepped foot. Body is copper with silver foot and mount including rim. Applied silver branch and leaves with copper cherries. Hallmark includes phrase “Silver & Copper”. Good condition with nice patina. A few dings to copper body – but nothing to detract from the overall attractiveness.
