Pair of tall Edwardian Classical sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Barbour Silver Co. (part of International) in Hartford, Conn., ca 1910. Each: Ovoid socket with round detachable bobeche on tapering shaft with base knop; raised foot. Engraved borders comprising paterae with pendant flowers and vases joined by garland. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 101C. Very good condition with a few pings.

Victorian Regency sterling silver salver. Made by John Aldwinckle and James Slater in London in 1880. Round and solid well engraved with stylized garland frame (vacant) in ornamental surround. Shoulder has applied ribbon-tied garland with pendant patera and open colonnade; beaded rim. Three c-scroll supports with open colonnade and applied garland. Fully marked. Very good condition.

George V sterling silver bowl. Made by Lionel Alfred Crichton in London in 1912. Curved with flared rim and stepped foot. Cast lion’s head side mounts in leafing-scrolled frames with loose-mounted rings. Four cast lion couchant supports with extended forepaws. Allover spot hammering. Engraved interlaced script monogram. A beautiful Edwardian Classical centerpiece. Fully marked. Excellent condition with nice shimmer.

Cover dimed with ornamental piercing and vasiform finial. Fluting and reeding. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 17816 (first produced in 1910), and director’s letter m. Very good condition.

Colonial sterling silver ale pitcher. Made by Old Newbury Crafters in Newburyport, Mass. Curved bowl with reeded staves; c-scroll handle and sharp v-spout. For serving ye olde fermented refreshment. Fully marked including maker’s and craftsman’s (Fletcher S. Carter) stamps as well as phrase “Boston / Museum of Fine Arts / Reproduction”. Very good condition.

Victorian sterling silver bowl. Made by Frederick Brasted in London in 1884. Round and curved with raised and spread foot. At top chased and engraved scene depicting idyllic countryside with rolling hills and big sturdy trees. In foreground a fox is pursued by hounds from two directions and a man stands ready to shoot. At bottom, gadrooning. Scrolled cartouche (vacant). Fully marked. Very good condition with nice patina.

Each: Spool socket with detachable bobeche mounted to knopped and twisted shaft on raised and serpentine foot. Fluted and imbricated shell ornament. Gadrooning. Coronet over letter H engraved on bobeche and socket. Georgian Rococo design best viewed by flickering flame. Fully marked. Very good condition with nice patina.

Set of 4 Victorian Classical sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. Ltd in Sheffield in 1880. Each: Gadrooned urn socket with detachable bobeche mounted to stepped top of tapering and fluted pillar on raised square base. With one 4-light inset comprising central socket on wax pan to which are mounted 3 scrolled and reeded arms each terminating in same. Central socket has domed cover with vasiform finial. Low relief pendant flowers and garlands with ribbon and paterae.... Click for details

Chinese silver mug, ca 1910. Straight and upward tapering sides and c-scroll handle. A spare form enlivened with applied wraparound dragon chasing its tail. Marks include stamp for Wang Hing, a maker and retailer in Canton and Hong Kong. Very good condition.

Edwardian Regency sterling silver 3-piece coffee set, ca 1910. This set comprise coffeepot, creamer, and sugar. Coffeepot and creamer have ovoid body. Sugar has round body. All faceted with raised foot and capped double-scroll handles. Coffeepot cover hinged and domed with vasiform finial. Creamer and sugar have gilt-washed interior.
