This set comprises coffeepot, teapot, creamer, and sugar. Each: Upward tapering rectilinear body with chamfered corners, pierced fretwork foot, and inset crenellated rim. Curvilinear bracket handles and faceted spouts on coffee- and teapot, and rectangular spout with curved front on creamer. Cold War-era sterling silver desk globe, ca 1970s. In c-scroll frame mounted to Baroque dolphin support in turn mounted to stepped and round foot. Everyone’s there, not only Us and Them (The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) but secondary players like Ceylon and Rhodesia. The world as it used to be. A great icebreaker for office peace talks, and source of reflections on the transience of power.

Open scrollwork side handles inset with cast medallion heads. One is a mustachioed man in plumed hat; the other a lady with noble visage. An unusual example of this popular and varied pattern.
