Set of 10 Edwardian Regency sterling silver dinner plates in Adam pattern. Made by Shreve & Co. in San Francisco, ca 1915. Round solid well. Wide shoulder with Classical vases on open rondels joined by leaf swag on pierced fern ground. Scrolled rim. Six plates have ornamental interlaced monogram.

Slightly hallucinatory acid-etched frieze with cherubs frolicking amidst aquatic foliage and giant mushrooms. One cherub is, ahem, full frontal. Possibly inspired by Kingsley’s Water-Babies.
