Engine-turned wave patterns alternating with plain stripes. Scrolled cartouche engraved with script presentation. Hallmark includes indistinct maker’s mark (possibly EM). Very good condition.

Edwardian sterling silver and enamel inkwell. Made by Grinsell & Sons in London in 1906. Dome base with reeded foot and rim and hinged cover. On cover top is inset enamel plaque: a cat sits on its haunches, front legs stiffened, ears erect, and gaze intense. Wonderful details include the shaded striping and fluffy chest fur. Ovoid crystal body on flat and scalloped foot. Acid-etched floral garlands. Cylindrical neck, scroll handle, and helmet mouth in silver: dense grape bunches and leaves and vine handle and rim. Grape bunch stopper with cork plug. Very fine silverwork. Hallmarked. Excellent condition.
