Contemporary sterling silver plate and spoon. Retailed by Asprey in London. Plate: Round with well and wide shoulder. Applied figure of Humpty Dumpty merrily waving. He is seated on a brick wall (engraved). Spoon: Tapering handle with oval bowl. Leather-bound case with fitted red velvet and silk lining with retailer’s stamp. Both pieces made in 1985. The plate has Sheffield maker’s initials SC. The spoon has Asprey stamp. Very good condition.

Pair of George III sterling silver gravy boats. Each: Traditional form with curved sides, helmet mouth, leaf-capped double-scroll handle, and scrolled lozenge-form foot. Gadrooned rims. On both sides is applied shaped cartouche with leafy border and engraved with armorial. Worn marks; London stamp and 1793 date letter decipherable. Condition: A lovely pair with attractive period wear and patina. Good for another couple centuries of dining.
