This Circa 1920 cigarette case is unusually decorated with six enamel fish flies. Each fish fly is labeled differently underneath. One says “Royal Coachman”, another says ”Montreal”, a third says “Black Gnat”, a fourth says “Queen of Waters”, the fifth says “Yellow May”, and the last one says “March Brown”. Very nicely worked sugar box made in Europe in the late 19th century. The whole body with alternating fluted panels, plain and then decorated with roses. Figural rose finial. Cover on a hinge. Set on 4 figural rose feet. Very heavy at 19 troy ounces. 6 ½ inches by 4 ½ inches by 6 inches high. Full marked on bottom and inside edge of the cover. Excellent condition.
