Regency sterling silver book-form vinaigrette. Made by Taylor & Perry in Birmingham, ca. 1820. Boards have engine-turned ornament. Spine has raised bands. On front board is rectangular cartouche with historic monogram. Gilt interior with pierced and hinged foliate grill. A great gift for a bibliophile. Hallmark includes indistinct date letter. Excellent condition.
