English sterling silver wine cooler. Made by James Barclay Hennell in London in 1879. Round and curved bowl with beaded rim and lion’s head mounts with loose-mounted rings at sides. Leafing scrollwork on beaded ground, and two scrolled and bead-and-reel frames with trefoil mounts. In one the horses amble contentedly in the enclosed paddock.
