Sterling silver three-handled trophy cup. Made by Shreve, Crump & Low Co. in Boston, ca. 1880. Sides taper to squat and curved bottom, stepped foot, and scroll branch handles. Oak leaves (some with acorns) applied to top and bottom. Interior lightly gilt. A beautiful design – rich in metaphorical possibilities.

Hallmarked. Excellent condition with deep patina. Dimensions: H 13 x W 10 1/2 x D 8 1/4 in. Weight: 66 troy ounces. BL830

Large sterling silver amphora. Made by Whiting in 1911. Elongated and tapering body, and molded rim. Mounted to square base with scrolled feet. Handles are scrolled and reeded with foliate caps and mounts. Leaves applied to base and feet. Very fine piece by a historic New York maker. Hallmark includes date symbol and model no. 1376.

Two-handle sterling silver trophy cup. Made by Whiting, C 1890. Baluster body with 2 bracket handles on dome foot. Incised lines, foliage, and stylized egg-and-dart motif. Scalloped rim and foot rim, the latter encircled with flowers and foliage. A dramatic piece. Hallmark includes no. 3378. Excellent condition.
