Austrian 800 silver box, ca 1880. Rectangular. Flat hinged cover, twisted corner columns with foliate capitals, and applied foliage and scrolls. Engraved scrolls and foliage on diaper ground. Cover has applied oval cartouche (vacant). Rests on plain corner supports. With detachable liner. A beautiful piece - weighty and substantial. Box and liner hallmarked. Fine condition.
