Ovoid body on short knopped support flowing into raised foot mounted to square base; helmet mouth with leaf-mounted hinge and and domed cover. Cover finial stained wood as is capped scroll handle. Ribbon-tied medallions inset with draped spearman, and bold Vitruvian scroll border. Vigorous prewar Neoclassical Revival. Fully marked. Very good condition with strong definition.
