Very large Art Nouveau sterling silver picture frame. Rectangular window in flat surround engraved with dense and fluid scrolls and flowers. Top rail center is vacant. With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged support. For portrait (vertical) display. An eye-catching showcase for an important forbear. Fully marked including no. 720 and stamp for IN Deitsch, a New York maker who was active from ca 1904 to 1915. Very good condition.

$1,750.00George V sterling silver ewer. Made by Lionel Alfred Crichton in London in 1913. Ovoid body on short knopped support flowing into raised foot mounted to square base; helmet mouth with leaf-mounted hinge and and domed cover. Cover finial stained wood as is capped scroll handle. Ribbon-tied medallions inset with draped spearman, and bold Vitruvian scroll border. Vigorous prewar Neoclassical Revival. Fully marked. Very good condition with strong definition.
