Pair of Japonesque sterling silver open salts. Made by John C. Moore for Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round with open rectangular bracket handles and straight foot. Engraved overlapping seals decorated with modish motifs, including fan, bug, vase, and bamboo. Foot decorated with acid-etched spirals and lunette-form flower heads, and pierced leaves. Union Square mark (1870-5) with pre-1875 pattern no. 3007 and order no. 901. Very good condition.

George V sterling silver desk box. Made by Arthur & John Zimmerman in Birmingham in 1915. Rectangular with straight sides and curved corners. Cover hinged and gently curved with scrolled tab. Box interior cedar lined. Cover interior gilt washed. Underside leather lined. Very good condition with nice patina.

Russian 875 silver and niello tea caddy, ca 1894. Retailed by Tiffany & Co. Tapering and faceted body on short facted foot. Cover in form of flying pagoda roof with upturned rim heightened with beads and large bead finial. Dense allover niello ornament: Scrollwork on body; on cover Greek key and diaper. Interior gilt as is cork-lined plug with hinged pull. Oriental exoticism via czarist Russia.

Pretty American sterling silver bell, ca 1930. Traditional bowl and flat oval open handle inset with engraved leaves and flower. Marked “Sterling” and the stamp for Watrous that was first used in 1921. Watrous was a Connecticut maker that became part of International in 1898. Very good condition.

American Art Deco sterling silver and glass bar pitcher, ca 1920. Upward tapering body with looping scroll handle. Star cut to underside; on body cut crosses sprouting acid-etched beaded stalks. Sterling silver collar with tooled scroll and flower border and small lip spout. Marked “Sterling” with Adelphi maker’s stamp. Very good condition apart from a few minor rim pings.

Large Belle Epoque Classical 950 silver frame. Made by Cardeilhac in Paris, ca 1890. Rectangular with chamfered corners. Raised leaf-and-scroll rim and engraved well: Strapwork on stippled ground surrounding central armorial with radials. End handles are leaf-mounted strapwork with cast head of long-tressed siren. Superb fin-de-siecle design. Fully marked with Minerva head and maker’s stamps. Excellent condition.
