Cover hinged and with tapering tab; top flap with engine-turned linear pattern bordered by wraparound lines between wavy lines. Interior wood lined and partitioned. Underside leather lined. Fully marked. Very good condition with a few minor pings.

Cover hinged and domed with cast figural finial: A little girl sits cross-legged and barefoot and rests her hand on the back of a hungry animal while spooning sustenance into its mouth. German Classical silver beaker cup, 18th century. At top leafing scrollwork and scallop shells; at bottom twisted leaf-and dart border. Ornament chased and heightened with engraving. English Victorian Classical sterling silver decanter jug, 1874. Ovoid body with high-looping and leaf-capped double-scroll handle, v-form spout, and raised foot. Chased fruiting grapevine, scallop shells, and Bacchus heads. Gilt-washed interior. Fully marked including unidentified maker’s stamp and London assay stamp. Very good condition with rich period patina.

Chinese mark and initials KHC for Khe Cheong, a Canton silversmith and retailer active from ca 1830s-70s. Very good condition.
