German 800 silver box, ca 1910. Rectangular with straight sides. Cover flat and hinged; tapering sides applied with flower head border. Embossed Olden Days scenes of merrymaking with dancing and flirting by men in neck ruffs and women in laced bodices. On front are massed soldiers carrying swords and pikes. Gilt interior. Corner leaf-mounted scroll supports. Marked “800” with Hanau maker’s stamp (Karl Söhnlein & Söhne). Very good condition.

$1,015.00Victorian sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Globular bowl and drum-form neck with small lip spout; c-scroll handle with stylized flower-head mounts. Bowl has embossed border of imbricated leaves or chevrons, a bold motif popularly known as Wave Edge. Neck applied with same. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pre-1875 pattern no. 3077, and director’s letter M (1873-91). Very good condition.

Perfect for genteel, clean-hands gardening. Marked “Sterling Italy / 925” with maker’s stamp (1944-68) for Franco De Giovanni in Milan. Very good condition.

Large turned-down cast open rinceaux collar. Domed open cast leaf foot mounted to plain and round base. Turn-of-the-century sumptuousness. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 14342 (first produced in 1900), and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition.

Cover hinged with tapering tab and gently curved top. Low-relief ornament in form of rectilinear frames with double borders and with leafing scrollwork on sides and cover top. Velvet-lined interior. With key. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Theodore B. Starr) stamps. Very good condition with nice toning.
