Classical coin silver tray. Made by Newell Harding & Co. in Boston, ca 1850. Oval with engraved armorial surrounded by dense oak leaves and acorns. Applied cast rim in form of entwined branches with leaves and acorns. Four leaf and acorn-mounted open branch supports. Large and substantial with allegorical consistency about steady growth and abundance. Fully marked. Excellent condition.
