Victorian Classical sterling silver picture frame. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Rectangular window in shaped surround with arched top, concave sides, and bracket supports. Pierced and acid-etched leafing scrollwork and diaper as well as basket-supporting Atlantes and lolling Venus with winged Cupids. With glass, silk lining, and stained-wood back with hinged and easel support with double-sided acid-etched ornament. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 12316 (first produced in 1895), and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Excellent condition.
