Turn-of-the-century Victorian Regency sterling silver jewelry box. Made by Mauser in New York. Rectangular and concave with curved corners and hinged cover. Chased ornament including garlands and scrollwork. On cover top is inset green hardstone medallion surrounded by wreath. Rests on 4 open scroll, leaf, and flower supports. Velvet lining. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 1854. Very good condition.
