Pair of Edwardian Regency sterling silver compotes. Made by Graff, Washbourne & Dunn in New York, ca 1909. Each: Round and shallow well bordered by engraved scrolls, leaves, and flowers; center vacant. Baluster shaft with base knop and raised foot. Bowl and foot shoulders have tubular piercing overlaid with swags, and open heraldic shields inset with flowers. Rims scrolled and interspersed with leaves. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Bailey, Banks & Biddle) stamps, patent year 1909, and no. 2983/47A. Very good condition.
