Gorgeous Belle Epoque Egyptian Revival 950 silver box. Made by Henin & Cie in Paris, ca 1910. Rectangular with applied wraparound leaf and rosette border at top and gold crown mounted to front. Corners chamfered with sphinx monopodium supports. Cover flat and hinged with turquoise “robin’s egg” centrally mounted in gold and gold border with raised leaves and cabochon jewels. There are 4 diamonds, 4 amethysts, and 8 rubies. Cover rim has gold border with integral tab inset with oval cabochon turquoise. Interior gilt. Fully marked with maker’s stamp and Mercury head export stamp. Also stamped “925”. Excellent condition.
