Prohibition-era sterling silver cocktail shaker. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1925. Conical bowl, curved shoulder, short neck, scroll bracket handle, and helmet-mouth with snug-fitting bun cover. Allover Craftsman-inspired hand-hammering. A great vessel for getting hammered with homemade moonshine. Fully marked including Gorham and Whiting stamps, Gorham date symbol, no. 1666A, and patent year (1924). Whiting was acquired by Gorham in 1926. Very good condition.
